Hi, My name is Shira, and this my Photography website. I picked up the camera early on, and just couldn't let it go. I like to experience life from different angles, to learn about many ways of living, to look at reality from the side and see what it wants to tell me.

I translate people's personal stories through the camera lens. My main passion is taking photos of people with the simplest means, not in a studio or a staged location but in their natural habitat – in their home, yard, street – bathed in their natural light.

In this way the camera (and later the photograph) truly reveals the person. This urge to capture rare and fleeting moments transcends the concern of "how will it come out in the photo?".

In this way I see people's multifaceted personalities: the ones that try to hide and the ones that relish the camera – all equally beautiful.
